...is where I'll be for the next week. I'm taking Reese (my laptop) with me, so I *should* be reachable... but I cannot guarantee that the router at the Kawada will be any better than Death Router here at home. ><
Why am I going to LA? I signed up for the BookExpo America, through my printing company. It's essentially a closed convention for book printers, sellers, buyers, and publishers.... and me. XD I'm hoping to get noticed by a mainstream company so my book can make me monehz! 8D The link to my book's page on my publisher's website is on my dA profile.

ALSO.... to update peeps... I haven't been around for a day or two, because my parents were in a car crash Saturday night.
<rant>Basically, somebody decided to make a left turn across their lane 20 feet in front of them; they didn't even have time to touch the brakes before they T-boned him. The airbag deployed on my father, who was driving, but this is a '94... no passenger airbag. My mother has a lipstick print on the breast of her shirt. Girls, if any of you are flexible enough to do that, you be proud, because my mom sure isn't. You connect the dots.
They were allowed to spend Saturday night at home, but had to go back to the hospital immediately Sunday morning. My father was discharged on Sunday afternoon, during which time my mother was being rushed to a trauma unit an hour away for a collapsed lung. She was released yesterday morning after staying in York overnight. They've both got cracked breastbones and my mother has a cracked rib, but they've both been deemed flight-safe, despite my mother's lung - they say it's stable.
As for the car - my dad's beautiful magenta Escort, fondly remembered as the Pimpmobile, is completely totaled. Absolutely no hope whatsoever of saving it. My dad's going to take out the brand-new radio when we get back from LA. And that's not even the best part... this guy actually looked my dad right in the eye as they were about to crash, and shrugged, as if to say "oh well!" AND! the instant he got out of his car, he started calling someone on his cell phone demanding a "ride out of here fast." Kid, if they had been driving our Bigfoot truck with the cow catcher on the front, you would've been turned to swiss cheese, and that truck would have no damage whatsoever. Don't think you can get away with this shit just because you're from Ohio.
I have learned three things from this incident.
1. ALWAYS wear your seat belt. My mother's head would not still be attached to her body if she hadn't been. You can be doing everything right, and can still get in a crash.
2. No matter how durable you think your car is, running over parking cones, branches, sidewalks, and the occasional raccoon... it will not survive a head-on crash with a Firebird. WILL. NOT.
3. I officially 100% hate tourists. You city slickers who stroll into Gettysburg and think you can speed around in your fancy cars and do whatever you want because you're from out-of-state.... I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU ALL. If you value your life, don't you DARE come anywhere near Hickory Bridge Farm... because I know how to use the sawed-off shotgun in the attic. We Gettysburgians call it "tourist season" for a reason!
</rant>
So... XD I'm going to ignore my computer for a while so I can burn an ATRAC. Woooo hooooooo.... haha. See y'all on the other side~~~

Second, I hope you have a wonderful time at BookExpo America, and I'm sure you'll will dazzle (or at least baffle) potential publishers with your brilliance and charm! Just try to keep your Exile claws sheathed, neh?
Take care and good luck!
