I showed this drawing to my parents, and they thought it was great (but isn't that what parents are supposed to say?) Then I showed them the reference image, from volume 23 of the InuYasha manga... and they just laughed. For your giggling pleasure, here is a photograph of my reference picture:

I have never drawn Lord Sesshomaru in color before... fun stuff.

The title of the drawing comes from Sesshy's spoken line in the manga: "You fool... you think you can run from me?!" You can just HEAR him growling! (I read this, and I knew I had to draw it.) His voice in this scene in the anime was AWESOME... but the manga line didn't match up with the mouth movements, so instead, he says "You fool, don't think you can ever escape my grasp!" (Which I think sounds a liiittle too much like Megatron, and not enough like Sessh.)

This is the first drawing of Sesshomaru I've done since 2003. That is not a lie or exaggeration. Want some examples of my Sess drawings at 13? Here:

I'm willing to bet that this drawing took a minimum of 12, a maximum of 15 hours. Definitely not one of my speediest portraits, lol. But that's what I'm going for - quality, not quantity.
