Vincent Rolando Salvatore Song: "Forward Motion" by Eminence Origin: Venice, Italy, mid-21st century AD Sire: None..?
Height: 70 in / 178 cm Weight: 150 lbs / 68 kg Mortal age: 18 years Immortal age (at end of story): ~20 years Hair color: dirty-blond Eye color: purple Ethnicity: 1/2 Italian, 1/4 Sumerian, 1/4 Cypriot Blood type: B+
Vincent's case is unusual: he was born a vampire. He has pretty severe OCD, but he has conveniently found a way around the worst bit of it - he's an elemental of earth, so dirt never touches him or gets anywhere near him. He's a pretty congenial guy, and his only vanity - the need to keep an immaculate appearance - is mostly derived from his OCD. (...but I do throw that "mostly" disclaimer in there, cause when you've got the father that Vincent does, you can't help but be vain. In the words of Lavernius Tucker, "That sh!t's genetic!" )
Vince's last name is pronounced "SAL-vah-TOR-ay"... it's Italian, so the E on the end is not silent... unlike our stupid American way of pronouncing it... (get it right!!!! )
Anyway, Vince used to struggle a lot with his OCD, and eventually found ways to relax so that his true laid-back self can shine through. He gives others the same advice - just relax! - all the time. So his lyric is:
You want to control what will be Tryin' to make your own destiny Worryin' about your every need Stuck in a life that you can't lead But you must let go, life won't change on a dime Go with the flow, slow down and take your time Life is swimming in the middle of an ocean You'll go to sea no matter how quickly you may row And we're all turning with tides of forward motion So let yourself go, let yourself go.
(My daddy and I wrote that hehe.)
Since I ranted about Veni's Strad, I figure I'll rant a tad about Vince's cello. It's a 1740 Montagnana called Baron Steinheil. Domenico Montagnana was an Italian luthier much like Stradivari. This cello would probably be priced at around $3.5 mil or higher. And nobody knows where the Baron is today so I can conveniently STEAL it for my story!!
Hm... I don't think I'll have Vincent buy this baby though... see, he hates the concept of buying things just to prove how much money you can afford throw away. He's pretty humble, money-wise. Maybe he finds it in the Villa Salvatore when he's a kid and has no idea just how valuable it is.... If you have ideas for this bit please share!
He wound up looking not-so-much like David anymore in the face... but that's okay. They're not supposed to be identical... they ARE two different people after all.

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
