Veni Delano LeFebvre Song: "Last Train Home" by Lostprophets Origin: Late 20th century Europe, various countries Sire: Lamia Kokkodis
Height: 72 in / 183 cm Weight: 150 lbs / 68 kg Mortal age: 16 years Immortal age (at end of story): ~50 years Hair color: black Eye color: red Ethnicity: 1/4 each German, French, Italian, Austrian Blood type: A+
Yaay, Veni!! Hehe... me wuv's Veni... I know his hair looks a little funky... upping the contrast did that to him... but it actually looks better than it did before... if you can believe that
Veni is just all kindsa flavors of European. His father is half Italian, half French, and his mother is half German, half Austrian, and he lived in all those countries before he and his parents came to the States. Veni has the most delicious mottled accent that is completely unique to him (although the French and German bits are the most prominent, earning him the nickname "Mr Frangladeutsch".)
I love that violin. I wants it. It's an original Stradivarius Vieuxtemps, priced at over $1.5 mil. And the bow is a 1925 Eugene Sartori... priced at around $23,500. (Oh yeah... Veni is also filthy rich. )
Veni is one of those unfortunate individuals whose parents married for money, not for love ... and hate each other. Growing up watching them fight, he's come to believe that falling in love is a dumb idea; you'll just get your heart broken. So his lyric is:
Sometimes it feels like I don't really know what's going on And time and time again it seems like everything is wrong in here But there's still tomorrow, forget the sorrow And I can be on the last train home Watch it pass the day as it fades away No more time to care, no more time today But we sing if we're going nowhere And we sing if it's not enough And we sing, sing without a reason To ever fall in love
Oh! one last thing.... Veni was extremely photosensitive during his mortality, so he's always been nocturnal, with black hair, pale skin, and red eyes whose pigments have never been altered by the sun. He's the polar opposite of his sire, Lamia: he looks dangerous, but actually, he's really not.

Your command of perspective is amazing. (Foreshortening and having it look right is hard.) And fingers! Gods, I hate drawing fingers!
After reading Veni's story, I feel bad for him. *hugs Veni* Way to make me feel sympathy for a character after seeing a picture and 8 lines of backstory.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.

Veni's a spoiled little rich boy, though. So he could probably just buy a new one if this one breaks X3
