Description
This is my final project for VAS 141 (Intro to Drawing), which I took in the fall of 2007... it's a tanto I bought at otakon 07... this drawing ate close to 30 hours of my life it was crazy...
Materials Used:
4h, 2h, HB, 2b, 4b, 6b, and 8b pencils
kneaded rubber eraser
plastic eraser
NO blending instruments
Drawn on 19x24in. Bristol, smooth finish, 260 gsm
Sprayed with Krylon workable fixatif, matte finish.
Sorry, I don't have any WIP's, but I do have close-ups:
[link] = Dragon kashira (end cap) - 5+ hours
[link] = Tsuba (hand guard) and fuchi (hilt collar) - 3-5 hours
[link] = Saya (scabbard) engraving - 5+ hours
[link] = Sageo (scabbard cord) 5+ hours
[link] = Tsuka (hilt) design 3+ hours
I don't have a close-up of the blade, but that's because, well, it's a blade... it's not really that detailed. The blade took around 3 hours, probably closer to 4.

Wait a minute, you drew this in 30 hours?
THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!
It looks like an actual photograph of the tanto!
Keep up with what you're doing. You could make some serious bucks with this talent if you haven't already.
